Resilience Project Mapping

The Resilience Project Mapping tool below shows priority areas for resilience projects, called High-Value Intervention Areas (HVIAs), across Santa Clara County. HVIAs combine social vulnerability data and risk data for two primary climate hazards in Santa Clara County: flooding and extreme heat. The tool also shows opportunity areas that communities may use in times of uncertainty or stress, such as schools and community centers, to consider harnessing when developing a nature-based solutions project. Jurisdictions, CBOs, and other project partners can use the tool in tandem with the Vision to Implementation Guide to develop a community-informed climate resilience project.
